Scholarships and Graduate Assistantships

International Merit Scholarship

The International Merit Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate international students who have demonstrated a record of academic success. To be considered for this scholarship, you must be admitted to GVSU for a Fall semester. This scholarship award is $2,500 and will automatically renew for up to four years (for first-time college students). Scholarship decisions are made by committee and are based on a review of the information in the scholarship application. The review process will begin in October and continue until all funds have been awarded. We recommend that you submit a scholarship application by February 15th. Students can combine the International Merit Scholarship and the GVSU International Scholarship.

The International Merit Scholarship is only available for students on an E2, F1, H4, K2, L2, TN, or TD visa starting in a Fall term only. Students will be notified when decisions are made.
