Marketers are responsible for promoting products, services, or brands to target audiences to drive sales and increase brand awareness. Marketing experts research, advertise, and strategize to attract and retain clients.
You will explore marketing management, consumer behavior, ethics, marketing research, and marketing strategy, preparing you for success in various marketing and management roles.
The program features courses taught by faculty who consult on real business issues, bringing their expertise and strong academic credentials to the classroom. You will gain valuable business experience and earn money through internships related to your field of study, scheduled around your classes. Networking opportunities with successful business leaders offer advice, internships, and job possibilities. Classes are held in the vibrant business environment of downtown Grand Rapids, MI, where current and emerging technologies are integrated into the curriculum for unique experiential learning.
Students must achieve a cumulative 2.5 GPA in these courses to receive the marketing minor designation. Courses cannot be taken on a credit/no-credit basis.
