Information Systems (IS) use hardware, software, databases, and networks to make data-driven decisions in the ever-changing business world. IS graduates possess a combination of technology and business knowledge in high demand at firms in West Michigan and across the country.

Coursework provides a solid foundation in application programming, data analytics, and problem-solving. You will study database systems, distributed computing, IT project management, networking, and system security. The curriculum also includes web development and the opportunity for interdisciplinary electives, ensuring a well-rounded education in the IT field and beyond. Cognate classes emphasize communication skills and business fundamentals, including all classes required for a minor in general business.

The IS program stands out for its unique blend of theoretical foundations, practical experience, and cybersecurity principles to prepare you to tackle current and future challenges.
