The program offers a comprehensive education that goes beyond language proficiency to include an exploration of French literature, culture, and history. Students prepare for a variety of careers by developing their linguistic skills and intercultural competence. With opportunities for internships and study abroad in France and other French-speaking countries, students gain firsthand experience and a deeper understanding of the global Francophone community.
Course topics cover all aspects of language and related cultures, from medieval to modern literature, sociolinguistics, teaching methods, Enlightenment, contemporary civilization, translation, the business world, and beyond. You will develop and expand presentational, interpretive, and interpersonal communication skills throughout the entirety of the program.
