A minor in engineering science provides students with the foundation to enter the workforce in various engineering careers. The curriculum presents practical applications across diverse fields, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, allowing students to explore the many different facets of engineering.
Courses include engineering basics, graphics, programming, and CAD/CAM, followed by first-year design projects. You will explore mechanics, machines, circuit analysis, and data measurement. To uniquely tailor your education, you will choose from advanced topics electives like probability and signal analysis, materials science, or electronic materials.
The ABET-accredited engineering program offers small, student-focused classes, hands-on learning, and state-of-the-art facilities. You will have opportunities to study/work abroad and collaborate on industry-sponsored projects with strong support from industrial partners to enhance your education and prepare you for successful careers in the engineering field.
The minor in engineering science requires a minimum GPA of 2.0 in eleven courses, 24-26 credit hours.
