Grand Valley's Digital Media Undergraduate Certificate is designed for students seeking knowledge and skills related to digital marketing and communications career opportunities. This program explores social media strategies, analytics, and public relations and advertising campaign management, as well as specialized study in content creation or innovation. The certificate can be completed in one year or less and is available face-to-face at Grand Valley's Allendale Campus.
The coursework for the Digital Media certificate requires 15 credits. Students complete core courses in social media strategy, social media analytics, and social media campaigns. They then choose either the digital content creation track, which includes media production, copywriting, and graphic design basics, or the innovation and strategy track, which covers ethics, game culture, digital creativity, and international communications systems. This diverse range of courses ensures a comprehensive exploration of digital media topics and skills.
