Professor Bre’z interests include Women’s History, 20th century social and political activism,
and community coalitions. Current research focuses on the global impact of water scarcity on
women. Professor Bre’z is also compiling oral histories of women artists from all genres,
reflecting their experiences and challenges in various art fields.

When not teaching, researching, writing, or grading, Dr. Bre’z travels to art shows throughout
the Midwest, selling the upcycled clothing and accessories she creates as part of her small
business. Dr. Bre’z also enjoys gardening, working to turn her backyard into a food forest, as
well as taking long car rides and nature walks.
