Women's History Month
March is Women’s History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the achievements, contributions, and leadership of women throughout history and in our communities today. In the United States, Women’s History Month has been officially recognized since 1987 and honors the lasting impact women have made in shaping society, culture, science, education, and public life.
This month provides an opportunity to reflect on progress toward gender equity, learn about influential women across disciplines, and support initiatives that advance opportunity and inclusion.
This Year's Theme
Each year, the National Women's History Alliance selects a theme highlighting women’s impact and leadership. The theme celebrates the ways women educate, inspire, and shape future generations through leadership, mentorship, and innovation. This year's theme is:
