The Women's Commission is the longest established faculty/staff affinity group at Grand Valley. Since 1996, the Commission has been advocating for all women on campus by acting on their issues and by promoting equity and social justice, ever conscious of the intersection of race, class, gender, and orientation.
As we enter our 21st year, we are committed to our legacy of creating dialogue, celebrating women's leadership, and exploring issues of advocacy. We hope that you find the events, resources, and opportunities posted on our site valuable.
With the support of the Division of Inclusion and Equity, the Women's Commission proudly sponsors the annual Fall Welcome, Mentoring Reception, Celebrating Women Awards, and Her Story series.
In the spirit of collaboration, we invite you to get involved in this meaningful work on behalf of all women. For more information, please contact wcommission@gvsu.edu or attend an upcoming meeting.
