About Online Math and Stats Tutoring
The Math and Stats Online Tutoring Center utilizes Discord--a free chat server--to safely serve students. To use this service, you will first need to sign up for a Discord account.
Please change your username to include your first AND last name so a tutor can check you in with Navigate.
You will see the rules of our server when you first join.
Hop into the "Check in here!" Voice Channel when you are ready to talk to a tutor or go directly to the Voice Channel for your specific class.
Online Tutoring Hours
Math and Stats tutors will be available for virtual tutoring on Discord:
Sunday: 5 pm-9 pm
Monday-Thursday: 5 pm-9 pm
Why Discord?
- It's FREE and easy to use - many GV students already use Discord to connect with others.
- It's available as an app or accessible through a web browser.
- GV has migrated away from BB Collaborate so we need a new online tutoring platform.
- It has all the things we need to tutor MTH online - the ability to talk, share screens and write out equations.
