Carter Engler

Carter Engler is an Information Systems major and a dedicated leader. He is the vice president of Student Affairs within Student Senate, and he has led a number of campaigns such as starting a glutenfree pantry at Grand Valley and adding the suicide hotline number to every student ID. He has enjoyed his Student Senate involvement immensely and says that “It’s been the greatest thing that’s happened to me in college.”

Carter has also been involved in Laker Traditions (now replaced by CAB), ESSU (Enterprise Systems Student Union), and various intramural sports. He proudly states that getting involved in Student Life “makes you feel like you’re in one big family. You can’t go anywhere without knowing somebody.”

If you want to get involved like Carter, head to LakerLink to find a student organization that’s right for you.
