At times throughout your employment, there may be instances when you are required to verify your wage or employment history. These instances include; securing a mortgage, buying a car, or providing information to a government agency for a social service entitlement. To facilitate these transactions, GVSU Student Employment has partnered with Equifax The Work Number and securely transmits information to The Work Number to fulfill wage and employment verifications. With The Work Number, employees will have easy and immediate access to their wage and employment data, significantly reducing turnaround time. EMPLOYERS / 3RD PARTY VERIFIERS
If you are an employer or a third party background screening company looking to verify employment information for a current or previous GVSU student employee, please direct your request to www.theworknumber.com. We are no longer completing these verifications in our office and are using Equifax The Work Number to complete these verifications on our behalf.
