Our 2027–2028 auditions will follow a hybrid format, combining virtual and in-person components.

All prospective dancers must begin the audition process by submitting a recruitment video that follows our video submission guidelines. These videos will serve as the initial round of auditions, and the majority of the selection process will take place virtually.

Following the virtual evaluation, selected dancers will receive an invitation to attend our Final Look Weekend in early March 2027. This will be our only in-person audition event and the final stage of the audition process.

During Final Look Weekend, dancers will:

• Train alongside the coaching staff and current team members.
• Participate in the remaining audition components.
• Receive final team evaluations and placement decisions.

Invitation to Final Look

Dancers may earn an invitation to Final Look through:

• A successful recruitment video submission.
• College dance combines/recruitment events and campus visits.
• Laker Dance Team clinics.
• Other select recruiting opportunities identified by our coaching staff.

Unless you have received a direct invitation to Final Look through one of our recruiting opportunities, a recruitment video submission is required to be considered for the 2027–2028 team.

Important Dates

• JANUARY (exact date TBD) – Video Submissions Due at 11:59PM EST. All dancers interested in auditioning for our 2026-2027 season must register & submit a video audition. Cost: $45. Selected dancers will be invited to attend our LIVE Audition taking place April 24-26.
• FEBRUARY (exact date TBD) – Invites to the LIVE audition, cuts, and additional details will be communicated.
• MARCH (exact date TBD) – 2026-2027 LIVE Auditions (Invite only based on pre-screening video submission).
