The Grand Valley State University Cheer Team is a key component of the Laker Spirit Program. The cheer team performs at all home football games as well as Men's and Women's Basketball games. When the Cheer teams are not practicing or performing, they participate in fundraisers and volunteer events within their local community and beyond. The Grand Valley Cheer Teams compete nationally each year in Daytona, Florida, where they compete in the DII Co-Ed division against schools from across the country.
