GV Cheer Tryout Information
Tryouts
Welcome to GVSU Cheer! We are a Division II Advanced Small Coed program competing at NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida. Our season goes beyond competition. Throughout the year, we cheer on the sidelines for GVSU football, men's basketball, and women's basketball, while also participating in appearances, clinics, and other Spirit Program events. Our team also has the opportunity to travel and represent Grand Valley at exciting events. Over the past two years, GVSU Cheer has been invited to travel to the Women's Basketball Final Four and Championship games in Pittsburgh, PA.
We are looking for athletes who are excited to compete, grow as cheerleaders, and become part of the GVSU community.
How Do I Get Recruited?
Take some time to learn about GVSU Cheer, our team culture, training, competition, game-day experience, and what it means to be a Laker. We encourage prospective athletes to explore our social media and attend one of our recruiting events to get a better feel for our program.
Connect With Our Program
One of the best ways to get to know GVSU Cheer is to train with us! Our College Prep Clinic on October 18th is a great opportunity to learn collegiate-level stunts and pyramids, meet our team and coaching staff, and experience the GVSU Cheer environment. Registration is linked HERE.
