Grand Opening of the Office of Student Support and Belonging
Connecting Students to What Matters!
We were thrilled to welcome students to explore our newly designed space, created to foster inclusion, support, and a sense of community for all. Attendees had the opportunity to meet our dedicated team, enjoy light refreshments, and learn about the exciting initiatives we have planned for the upcoming year. Welcome Home Lakers!
Earlier this summer, students in the Oliver Wilson Student Summer Success Program arrived on campus ahead of the fall semester, kicking off a season of connection, growth, and academic preparation. These incoming Lakers began building community, exploring campus life, and laying the foundation for a successful Grand Valley journey.
Study Tables
Focused and Flourishing!
Students gathered for weekly study tables and enrichment activities designed to support their academic success. Through collaborative learning, peer support, and structured study time, these sessions helped foster strong habits, build confidence, and create a sense of community rooted in achievement.
OSSB End-of-Year Celebration
Students gathered together to celebrate the end of the academic year with community, appreciation, and fun. With complimentary food, interactive gaming experiences, and opportunities to write thank-you cards to those who made an impact throughout the year, the celebration created a space for students to relax, connect, and reflect on their accomplishments while honoring the relationships that supported their success.
