Program Requirements
- Attend the annual Brooks Kick-Off. The kick-off serves as the first touch point of the year, where program requirements and success coach appointments are reviewed, while also connecting with other students and your respective success coach.
- Attend the scholarship luncheon each semester. Luncheons are MANDATORY unless you are scheduled to attend class from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on the dates found on our event calendar. If you are unable to attend due to other conflicts, you must notify your student success coach in advance.
- Have at least three (3) scheduled appointments with your success coach per semester (find your coach and make and appointment on our staff page). These appointments may serve to: review scholarship agreement expectations, create/make necessary changes to semester academic plans, review midterm grades, discuss classes for the following semester, and/or set up study sessions in the Office of Student Support & Belonging as needed.
- First year students only: You must complete 5 hours of engagement per semester. This can include: scholarship kick-offs, scholarship luncheons, scholarship program events, OSSB general events, and additional success coach meetings.
- Meet with an assigned academic advisor and develop a registration plan before March 7, 2027.
- Maintain good academic standing and satisfactory academic progress (SAP).
- Attend the annual Challenge Scholars Kick-Off and sign the scholarship contract (through the Challenge Scholars portal). The kick-off serves as the first touch point of the year, where program requirements and success coach appointments are reviewed, while also connecting with other students and your respective scholarship team.
- Complete the annual Fall and Spring Check-In surveys.
- Attend the scholarship luncheon each semester. Luncheons are MANDATORY unless you are scheduled to attend class from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on the dates found on our event calendar. If you are unable to attend due to other conflicts, you must notify your student success coach in advance.

- Successfully complete EDH 181 your first semester enrolled.
- Sign and return your scholarship agreement form (if needed).
