Oboe Reed-Making Workshop

Friday, November 15, 2019 (9 a.m. - Noon)

Oboists of all ages are invited to the annual GVSU Oboe Reed-Making Workshop, slotted to take place at Grand Valley State University in Allendale on Friday, November 15 (9 a.m. - noon). This event is FREE for middle/high school students and band/orchestra directors. Space is limited and participants are selected on a first-come, first-served basis. If you or your students would like to attend, fill out the registration form by November 4.   



Grand Valley Winds Clinic

Saturday, January 18, 2020 (Noon - 4 p.m.)

Grand Valley Winds Clinic

The faculty ensemble, Grand Valley Winds, will work with preformed student ensembles or individual students. This event is FREE for middle/high school students. Space is limited and participants are selected on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to register is January 6.

GVSU Oboe Day

GVSU Oboe Day 2020 (9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) 
Friday, March 20

Oboe master classes and workshops are designed for middle school and high school students, who would like to improve their oboe technique and musicianship, ensemble playing, and stage presence. Oboists of levels are encouraged to participate. Students are encouraged to bring their solos or any ensemble parts they need help with. Although no registration is required and walk-ins are welcomed, if you know you will be coming please fill out the registration form below. Lunch will not be provided. Students are encouraged to bring food or purchase lunch on campus.
