Russell Staples is the Scene Shop Manager for Grand Valley State University, Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Russell has been doing theatre for 35 years professionally and teaching in a university setting for 22 years: Russell was Director of Theatres at New Jersey City University, in Jersey City, NJ. for three years. His duties were running Margert Williams Theatre rental program and doing theatre music and dance setups for 130 shows a year in two spaces. He also spent 13 years as Technical Director at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA for the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance. While at GCSU Russell was in charge of The Theatre Scene Shop, rental For Russell Auditorium, Black Box Theatre, the University did 200 shows in7 performances, and rehearsal spaces. The Scene Shop built 3 shows one musical and did two dance performances. Russell has a B.F.A. From Central Michigan University in Theatre Arts.
