Join the GVSU Laker Alumni Marching Band (LAMB) for our annual Homecoming performance on October 3, 2026!
Fall 2026 marks the 49th anniversary of the Pride of the Midwest, so brush off your horn, don your favorite GVSU gear, and reconnect with fellow alumni for a full day of music, tradition, and Laker pride!
Registration opens: September 1, 2026 — 8:00 a.m.
Registration deadline: September 28, 2026 — 11:59 p.m.

What does the homecoming performance entail?
Homecoming typically draws ~100 LAMB members to perform before and during the football halftime show. Members attend an a.m. rehearsal with the Laker Marching Band to run through music and learn simple drill sets for the afternoon/evening performances. LAMB members march as a group to Lubbers Stadium and perform alongside the LMB during the football game with stand tunes and more.
What is included in registration?
Everyone is required to have a ticket to the game in order to enter Lubbers Stadium. If you need a ticket, add it on during your registration and we will take care of ordering your ticket. Your ticket will be sent to the email you provide on the form a couple days before homecoming.
If you already have a ticket, season tickets, game day pass, etc. then you do not need to add a ticket to your registration.
Registration is a la carte, broken down as follows:
- Ticket to football game: $13 (required to enter the stadium, and includes a complimentary parking pass for the game day parking lots)
- Pizza Lunch meal ticket: $7
What if I don't have an instrument of my own?
Please indicate if you are in need of an instrument in your registration. University owned instruments may be available for use depending on the instrument/current availability.

2025 Homecoming Schedule
8:15-8:45 a.m. - Check In/GVSU Instrument Check Out - Band Room (1515, Haas Center for Performing Arts)
**Parking in Lot H2 or K1 is free for the day, but you can ONLY park in commuter or residential designated spaces
9:00 -10:00 a.m. - Rehearsal at the Haas Center for Performing Arts Practice Field with the LMB
11:00 a.m. - Alumni Band Lunch - Kirkhof Center Lower Level Thornapple Room (Coordinate with LAMB Council)
12:15 p.m. - Call Time / Band Room
12:50 p.m. - March to Stadium
1:45 p.m. - Pregame
2:00 p.m. - Kick Off! GO LAKERS!
