Experience:
Affiliate Professor Robert Robins has spent over 30 years in the hospitality industry, notably as an Executive Chef for a number of West Michigan restaurants and clubs, and as a private Club Manager. He earned his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation from the Club Managers Association of America in 1997. Robert also holds the Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE), and C.A.R.E. Instructor designations from the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

Robert is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, as well as an Expedition Level One Tri-Mix diver. Robert is also an instructor in CPR, AED, Wilderness First Aid and Oxygen Provider for the American Red Cross, Divers Alert Network and Emergency First Responders. Robert also enjoys sailing, particularly Tall Ship Schooners and holds a 100 Ton Captains License in the Merchant Marines. When not sailing, Robert likes to go kayaking, camping, climbing and is a licensed private pilot with a complex airplane rating.
