Graduate Assistant for Programming

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate major campus events and programs that support a vibrant campus life community (25%)

  • Advise student leadership of CAB (25%)

  • Develop and implement creative marketing strategies, and social media content, for campus events and programs (20%)

  • Create and deliver presentations, retreats, strategic planning meetings, and other leadership development opportunities (10%)

  • Partner with other University departments in developing and implementing programs Serve as liaison to various constituents, including on-campus and off-campus agencies and departments (10%)

  • Assist with managing various program budgets (5%)

  • Participate in various weekly staff meetings, head up special projects (5%)

  • Other duties and/or special projects as assigned

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Education Requirements: BA/BS required & full admission to a Grand Valley State University graduate program. Preference will be given to students enrolled in the Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration (HESAA) program.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning, campus programming, with strong facilitation, team building, and communication skills preferred

  •  Attention to detail is a significant aspect to this position
