: The Sweet House Event Intern will support the event planning team in organizing and managing events, from initial concept development to final execution. This role provides hands-on experience in the event management field and will involve working to ensure smooth event operations. This is a paid internship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning Assistance: Support the team with all aspects of event planning such as coordinating vendors, setting for events, assisting the events team with all aspects of events.
  • Marketing Support: Help promote events via social media, email newsletters, and other marketing channels. Assist in creating event collateral like flyers and invitations.
  • On-site Event Support: Assist during event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring everything runs according to plan.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain event documentation, track RSVPs, update attendee lists, and handle other administrative duties as needed.
  • Customer Service: Be a point of contact for event attendees, welcoming guests, addressing inquiries and ensuring positive experiences.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program (Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or related field).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic social media platforms.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules
