There's Never Been a Better Time!

#1 in Opportunity and Like No Other Program ANYWHERE!

Welcome to the Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) Program at Grand Valley State University (GVSU)! Many colleges and universities offer a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, but no other institution offers the distinctive opportunities that GVSU does through our six diverse and practical career concentrations and unique adventure tourism management minor.  We are excited to offer our students the following, just to name a few:

  • State of the art curriculum - engage students with real world applications in classes and in 1000 hours of internships
  • Fifteen full-time, committed and experienced faculty and staff who all have industry experience and engage outside the classroom
  • In-depth, comprehensive education program encompassing all aspects of the industry including Events, Food and Beverage, Lodging, Tourism and Recreation

Thank you for exploring the HTM Program at GVSU, we are proud to share our website with you.  Stay connected with us and let us know how to help you engage with us.

Community-Based Learning with GVSU HTM

The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program is proud to have earned the "Engaged Department" designation by the GVSU Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence in 2018, and was awarded a $5,000 grant to participate in the Engaged Department Initiative. Over an 18-month period, we have been incorporating curricular scaffolding of community-based learning, developing collaborative approaches to community partnerships, and working toward establishing a culture that supports and rewards community-based work.
