Tamika Frimpong holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Grand Valley State University and both a master’s certificate and lawdegree from Michigan State University. She serves as the chief legal and compliance officer of HARMAN, a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.

In her role, Tamika helps foster a strong culture of compliance and ensures HARMAN maintains the policies, procedures, and governance protocols required to adhere to U.S. and international laws. She is a trusted adviser on a wide range of legal matters, including business negotiations, employment issues, competition, and intellectual property. 

Tamika has led functions including compliance, litigation, data privacy, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and ESG. Before joining HARMAN, she served as vice president and deputy general counsel for automotive supplier BorgWarner, Inc. She also held senior legal and leadership roles at TCF Bank, Nexteer, and Mobex Global, where she was both general counsel and chief human resources officer.
