College Responsibilities in Academic Advising
- Recognizes the importance of and actively supports excellent and accurate faculty academic advising through the tenure and evaluation process.
- Provides sufficient and ongoing resources and support for both faculty mentoring and professional advising services across the College.
- Provides accessible guidance for Faculty Mentors and professional advisors on matters of academic policy.
- In partnership with the CLAS Academic Advising Center, provides required, continuous and accurate training for all faculty mentors and professional advisors in CLAS.
- Communicates consistent information to all students about the advising process in CLAS.
- Provides referrals to university services to students and faculty as needed.
- Provides a community of academic advisors for all students in CLAS.
- In partnership with the CLAS Academic Advising Center, conducts continuous assessment and improvement in academic advising.
