In order to provide a safe and healthy environment for our staff and students, the Center for Undergraduate Scholar Engagement will not be conducting in-person business during the Spring/Summer 2021 semester. We are checking and responding to emails during our regular business hours. Someone is in the office Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. to answer telephone calls. Students with questions on getting involved in undergraduate research, applying for fellowships, etc. are encouraged to contact us for a ZOOM appointment.

Welcome to the Center for Undergraduate Scholar Engagement

The Center for Undergraduate Scholar Engagement (CUSE) serves students interested in pursuing academic and creative experiences and projects outside the classroom. CUSE houses the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (OURS) and the Frederik Meijer Office of Fellowships. Together we have a mission to provide students with the opportunity to conduct research, apply for competitive inter/national fellowship/scholarships to fund study abroad, post-graduate opportunities, and more.

Interested in making the most of your undergraduate experience at Grand Valley? Seeking opportunities to pursue research, immerse yourself in language study, pursue a competitive internship, prepare well for graduate or professional school - or for gap-year experiences after graduation like Peace Corps or a Fulbright?  We can help!
