Biography

Dr. Kruttika Sutrave is an assistant professor in the College of Computing, where she focuses on advancing the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Her current research explores the development of robust convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and transformers for detecting and quantifying disease markers in radiology images. She also designs bias-mitigation, explainability, and monitoring frameworks to ensure AI models remain fair, transparent, and trustworthy. Additionally, Dr. Sutrave works on building large language model applications that utilize electronic health record data to extract information, generate summaries, and answer patient-related queries.Dr. Sutrave has been nominated for the Women in Tech Global Award and actively contributes to the academic community as a Program Chair for the Southern AIS Conference (SAIS). She is also a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). 

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys practicing yoga, running, and traveling to explore new cultures and perspectives.
