Biography

Dr. Syed Qasim is a dedicated faculty member. He brings extensive expertise in cybersecurity and related fields to both his teaching and research. His research interests span cybersecurity, cyber physical systems, digital forensics, Internet of Things (IoT), and threat intelligence. He is an active contributor to the professional community, serving as a program committee member for ICSS23 and as a reviewer for several respected conferences and workshops, including DFRWS US (2022, 2023), DFRWS EU (2023), and CIMSS 2021.

In the classroom, Dr. Qasim is passionate about teaching courses in digital forensics, cybersecurity, cyber physical systems security, and computational problem solving. He is committed to equipping students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary to succeed in an evolving digital landscape. Outside of his academic pursuits, Dr. Qasim enjoys soccer, hiking, photography, and cooking.
