Biography

Mohammad Iskandar is a seasoned engineering professional and dedicated educator with a multidisciplinary background spanning electrical engineering, software development, cybersecurity, and business strategy. With over 26 years of industry experience, Mohammad has led initiatives in product design, vehicle launches, systems validation, and strategic planning, consistently driving innovation and operational excellence across complex technical environments.

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor, a Master of Business Administration from Oakland University, and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University. This diverse academic foundation has enabled him to bridge the gap between technical systems and business needs, making him a valuable contributor to both corporate and academic settings. Mohammad currently serves as an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University (GVSU) where he teaches courses in computer information systems, cybersecurity, and systems analysis. 

His teaching philosophy centers on equipping students with practical, real-world skills while fostering critical thinking and adaptability in today’s fast-evolving digital landscape. He brings a hands-on approach to the classroom, drawing from his extensive experience in software validation, secure system design, and enterprise-level project management. Mohammad’s unique blend of technical expertise, business insight, and educational passion makes him a dynamic instructor and mentor, dedicated to shaping the next generation of technology leaders.
