Biography
Dr. Jiaxin Du is an accomplished researcher and educator with expertise in data science, artificial intelligence, and geographical information systems (GIS). His research focuses on leveraging AI-driven techniques to analyze spatial data, enhance decision-making, and improve outcomes in urban and environmental contexts. He actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for several prominent journals and conferences, including International Journal of Geographical Information Science (IJGIS), Computational Urban Science, Journal of Ambient Intelligence & Humanized Computing, Annals of GIS, International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), and International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation.
In the classroom, Du is passionate about teaching students the foundations of data analysis and visualization, with particular emphasis on Python programming and effective data storytelling. Beyond his academic pursuits, he has a strong interest in financial markets and enjoys exploring new destinations through travel. He is dedicated to preparing students to succeed in data-driven careers and to making meaningful contributions to the fields of AI and GIS.
