The CECI Undergraduate Advising Center provides academic advising support to students majoring in Education Birth-Kindergarten. Your academic advisor can support you in degree planning, goal setting, policy and procedural understanding, and campus connecting.

GVSU's Birth to Kindergarten (B-K) program is a single major that prepares you to teach young children in both General and Special Education settings.
In Fall 2021, the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) established new teacher certification structures. GVSU provides programs for Young Children: Birth to Kindergarten (B-K), Lower Elementary (PK-3rd Grade), and Upper Elementary (3rd-6th Grade).
