The Faculty Council is committed to addressing faculty concerns thoughtfully and transparently. The process for handling submitted feedback is as follows:
- Review & Agenda Setting – Faculty Council chair/s will regularly review submitted feedback forms. Concerns will be added to the Faculty Council meeting agenda as appropriate, ensuring anonymity. If the concern is not appropriate for the Faculty Council, efforts will be made to route it to the appropriate entity (i.e., unit head, dean, etc.)
- Communication – If necessary and appropriate, the Faculty Council chair/s will follow up with the faculty member who submitted the concern to provide updates or gather additional information.
- Discussion & Action – Faculty Council representatives will discuss submitted concerns during meetings and explore potential avenues for resolution, including raising issues with administration, organizing faculty fora, or making policy recommendations.
- Ongoing Consideration – Some concerns may require ongoing discussion or follow-up actions, which will be tracked by the Faculty Council to ensure progress.
This process ensures that faculty voices are heard and that meaningful action can be taken where possible.
