Who We Are
The College of Community and Public Service builds vibrant communities through scholarship, research, and collaboration. Our accomplished faculty and staff members have a wide range of expertise in the arenas of public service, health administration, philanthropy, hospitality, tourism, criminal justice. legal studies and human welfare, providing students a dynamic learning experience and empowering communities with quality research and data.
The College of Community and Public Service (CCPS) was established in 2004. It combined five preexisting units of the university, all of which had strong community connections and a professional focus. The first CCPS Dean was Dr. Rod Mulder, who had been Dean of the School of Social Work. In 2008, Dean Mulder was succeeded by Dr. George Grant, Jr.
