Organization for Autism Research: Post-Secondary Scholarships Available

April 05, 2021

The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is accepting applications for the 2021 OAR Scholarship Program. Applicants can apply to either the Schwallie Family Scholarship or the Lisa Higgins Hussman Scholarship until Monday, May 3, 2021. Each scholarship offers $3,000 to students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder pursuing full-time, post-secondary, undergraduate education in the United States.

  • The Lisa Higgins Hussman Scholarship supports students attending two-year universities; life skills or postsecondary programs; or vocational, technical, or trade schools. Hussman applicants typically make up the pool of talented students with greater daily support needs who plan to attend programs that assist in skill building, job readiness, and other transition-related skills.
  • The Schwallie Family Scholarship supports students attending two- or four-year universities. The majority of Schwallie applicants fall into the four-year category.
