This 30-minute webinar—offered twice each day—shares practical strategies and real classroom examples to boost engagement for all students in inclusive settings. Participants will leave each session with easy-to-use ideas they can try right away. Designed for general and special educators, this training was developed through collaboration to support smoother transitions, visual aids, break strategies, and active student participation.
- January 29, 2026: Breaks in Inclusive Classrooms: Creating
Universal Break Spaces and Practices (Elementary)
- In this session, participants discover how to create and implement proactive break systems in inclusive elementary classrooms. Ideas for designing break spaces and routines that are available for all students will be shared.
- February 12, 2026: Classroom Transitions: Planning for Effective
Transitions in the Classroom (K-12)
- This session provides strategies for designing and planning predictable and accessible transitions within instruction. Learn how to minimize downtime, increase student autonomy, and strengthen routines for all students.
- March 5, 2026: Visual Strategies: Considerations for Meaningful
Visual Strategies (K-12)
- In this session, participants explore how visual supports can promote independence, communication, and engagement. The session will highlight examples of visuals that have been designed and adapted to connect with all students.
- April 24, 2026: Student Engagement: Planning Group and Partnership
Activities to Optimize Shared Participation (K-12)
- This session focuses on strategies designed to optimize shared participation among all learners through group and partnership learning. Ideas for planning, adding structure, and facilitating learning to increase individual contribution and collaboration are embedded.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs): START is offering State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs), pending approval, and Certificates of Attendance. Participants must complete the Attendance Form provided at the training within 3 days of the training date to receive SCECHs and/or a Certificate of Attendance.
