Jesse Bruce, 92.1 WGHN-FM (Grand Haven) Program Director and Afternoon Host, celebrated his 25th Anniversary at the radio station on September 27, 2024. Starting as an intern in 1999, Bruce has worked in numerous capacities for WGHN, including sports and commercial production and news and hosting responsibilities. He curated a special edition of his 'Lunchtime At The Laguna,' 80s noon show to mark this significant milestone. His afternoon show, "JESSE BRUCE LIVE," featured General Manager Mike Toth & Morning Show Host Mary Ellen Murphy presenting him with a special tribute signed by Governor Whitmer, Lt. Governor Gilchrist, Senator Roger Victory, and Rep. Greg VanWoerkom, saluting 25 years of broadcast service to Grand Haven. Bruce was then joined over the next three hours by family, friends, business, and community leaders as they reflected on his career and looked forward to the future. In his career, Jesse has earned over fifty awards from organizations such as the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, the Associated Press, and more. He graduated from Grand Valley in 2000 with a B.S. in Broadcasting. A "Laker For Life," Bruce just completed his fourth season as the announcer for GVSU Club Sports Hockey at Griff's Georgetown Ice Arena.
