I'm so excited to share my journey from the classroom to owning Blend Salon & Suites, located right across the river from downtown GVSU Campus! Blend is a luxury salon and suite rental space where beauty professionals can build their own businesses in a supportive and collaborative community. It's been amazing seeing my dream come to life and creating a space where stylists and artists can thrive independently while still being part of a team. I'm incredibly grateful for the education I received, which tremendously helped me in opening my salon. It's also so fun doing students' hair and hearing about how GVSU has grown in just a few years since I graduated. It is a full-circle moment, and I'm proud to be a part of the Grand Rapids beauty scene while helping others follow their own entrepreneurial paths!
