In 2017, their freshman year at Grand Valley, Hanna and Ryan met in the Hoobler Living Center. They started dating their sophomore year, and continued to support each other throughout their academic careers together at GVSU. Ryan graduated in 2022 (education program), and Hanna graduated in 2021 (allied-heath sciences and music program). Ryan is currently a 5th grade teacher, and Hanna is a pediatric speech-language pathologist. They celebrated their wedding on June 28th, 2025 with friends and family. And enjoyed their honeymoon in Iceland!
