I am a proud Grand Valley State University alumnus and Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, with more than 22 years of military service spanning leadership, intelligence, cybersecurity, and strategic operations. Throughout my military career, I have served in both the Military Intelligence and Chemical Corps, holding command and senior advisory positions.

I previously commanded the 92nd Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Battalion, where I led an organization of more than 300 personnel and oversaw operational readiness, training, and mission execution. I currently serve at Headquarters, United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM), in Stuttgart, Germany, supporting joint strategic planning and campaign implementation. My professional experience also includes enterprise cybersecurity strategy, national security policy, risk governance, and advising senior military leaders on complex operational challenges. From leading Soldiers to shaping strategy at the combatant command level, my career has centered on public service, developing people, solving complex problems, and making a meaningful impact.

As a GVSU alumnus, I take pride in representing the Laker community while continuing to serve our nation and lead in an increasingly complex global security environment.
