Barbara C. Lee, '85

Barbara Lee graduated summa cum laude from GVSU in 1985, majoring in criminal justice with a minor in accounting. She served as a special agent of the Internal Revenue Service until May 1994, when she was appointed by President Clinton as U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Michigan.

Marshal Lee directs U.S. Marshal Service personnel in independent and cooperative law enforcement efforts with other federal, state, and local agencies throughout a large portion of western and upper Michigan.

She is actively involved in community affairs through her work in social service volunteerism and has facilitated practical federal law enforcement experience for GVSU criminal justice students.
