The Film & Video Alumni Network exists to unite alumni through periodic events to socialize, network, learn, and participate in community service in order to stay connected with each other and the university.
Our purpose is to:
- Bring alumni together for networking, professional development, social activities, lifelong learning, and community service.
- Build relationships among GVSU alumni both personally and professionally.
- Provide support to students, alumni, and the campus department in the respective affinity.
- Support the mission of the Alumni Relations office and GVSU.

My favorite experience was working on the GVSU Summer Film Project: The Gospel According to Roy. It was a unique experience that was just like working on a professional set with professional actors and crew.

One of my fondest memories at Grand Valley is working on my first short film as the Producer. I had no idea what I was doing yet I felt so empowered as a filmmaker. I ended up making friends that are still a part of my life and my film crews!
