Barbed Wire Cafe was opened September 2018 on the site that was the original Plainwell Diner.

We specialize in scratch cooking including most of our bread, including bagels, soup, chorizo hash, hand cut fries, chicken tenders made in house, homemade coleslaw, pies and cookies, 10 kinds of tea, and we brew the iced tea.

We have survived the shutdowns and limited seating by offering take and bake or reheat dinner menus including meatloaf and mashed, bacon cheddar Mac and cheese, chicken bow tie Alfredo, beef and noodle, cabbage rolls, shepherds pie and beef stew.

We also do carryout dinners for the holidays.
