Workplace technology communications involve using digital tools and platforms to effectively create, share, and manage business information and communications within a professional environment.
Grand Valley's Workplace Technology and Communication badge equips students with essential workplace communication skills, such as designing effective business documents, recognizing ethical issues, and using statistical analysis tools for decision-making.
The coursework covers business communication, document design, and data visualization. These topics provide comprehensive knowledge for creating effective business documents, communicating ethically, and utilizing statistical tools for decision-making.
This badge enhances one's ability to compose business communications, design effective documents, and create data displays. It is available in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats, offering flexibility for both degree and non-degree-seeking students.
A digital badge, or badge, is a record of achievement that recognizes a student's completion of a coherent and meaningful academic experience. GVSU offers both credit and non-credit bearing badges as digital credentials. Credit-bearing badges include anywhere from 0.5 to 15 academic credits and may include additional noncredit criteria. Credit-bearing badges are also posted to the academic transcript.
Admissions to complete a digital badge is open to both degree and nondegree seeking students. If you are not currently a Grand Valley student, start your application here.
