Students who strive to become leaders in a world of constant change and intense competition are given opportunities for theoretical and experiential learning through coursework and internships. The program covers diverse areas of management, allowing for the combination of interests in human resources, management information systems, operations management, and more.
You will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that includes courses in financial and managerial accounting, economics, and business processes. Courses in operations management, administrative policy, and various ethics and business electives tailor your education to your unique goals.
The program integrates current and emerging technologies into courses, offering unique experiential learning opportunities. Faculty members bring a blend of academic achievement and professional experience, providing industry knowledge in the classroom and beyond. Local and international companies actively recruit for paid internships and entry-level positions, and upper-division courses are taken in the vibrant business environment of downtown Grand Rapids, MI.
Students must achieve a cumulative 2.5 GPA in these courses to receive the management minor designation. Courses cannot be taken on a credit/no-credit basis.
