Overview

The data science and analytics program at Grand Valley State University offers an interdisciplinary education that combines theory with practice. Students learn to use state-of-the-art programming techniques and tools to develop analyses and statistical models, identify trends and patterns, solve problems, communicate results, and recommend optimal solutions. The program ensures that students acquire critical knowledge, skills, and abilities in data science and analytics. 

You will study a diverse range of topics, including programming, statistical computing, data mining, multivariate data analysis, information visualization, data engineering, and applied machine learning. The curriculum also includes a capstone project that allows you to apply your learning to tangible challenges, preparing you to excel in the field.
