Artificial intelligence (AI) is an evolving field that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries to incorporate aspects of machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and human-computer interaction.
Grand Valley's Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (AI) program offers a specialized, interdisciplinary curriculum grounded in computer science, cybersecurity, and software engineering. The program emphasizes practical learning through lab work and collaborative projects, preparing students to manage AI technologies effectively.
Students will study core topics such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, human-computer interaction, and ethics and bias in AI. These courses ensure a comprehensive understanding of AI technologies and their societal impacts.

Application Deadline
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Deadlines for international students are May 1 for fall and October 15 for winter; domestic student deadlines are July 1 for fall and December 1 for winter. The $30 nonrefundable application fee is waived if the applicant has previously applied to GVSU.
Create, modify, and test the code and scripts that allow computer applications to run. Work from specifications drawn up by software and web developers or other individuals. May develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.
