Coronavirus COVID-19 Updates

Due to health and safety concerns for staff, students, and guests, AWRI has implemented the following changes. Learn more about GVSU's coronavirus response at

  • In accordance with University protocols, AWRI is closing its doors starting Thursday, March 19 at noon. Phone calls may be routed during this time, or picked up by staff remotely from off campus.
  • AWRI's seminar series is canceled for the rest of this semester.

EPA Admin. Andrew Wheeler announced yesterday the membership of the re-established Great Lakes Advisory Board. The 14 members, including AWRI Director Al Steinman, represent a range of backgrounds & non-federal interests and will help the EPA restore & protect the Great Lakes.
