Foundations Professor Rick Weis accepted at  Magnum Opus XXVI Exhibition in California

Rick Weis, Professor and coordinator of the Foundations Program had one of his paintings accepted into the Magnum Opus XXVI Exhibition at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center in California.  Weis received his B.F.A. from the Kansas City Art Institute and his M.F.A. from Indiana University in Bloomington. He has been a member of the Art and Design faculty since 1991 teaching Two-Dimensional Design, Color and Design, and Drawing 1 and 2. Additionally, he serves as the Foundations Coordinator. He has had over 200 exhibitions and juried exhibitions in 36 states and has received 38 awards for his paintings and drawings, 35 of which were in national competitions. His recent paintings investigate dynamics and structure. Rick's work, an oil painting titled Unbound, was also selected to represent the exhibition in the postcard of the show, as seen above.
