Biography
Lindsey Peterson is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design & User Experience. Lindsey joined the Visual & Media Art faculty at Grand Valley in 2019. As a designer, photographer, and visual storyteller, Lindsey is passionate about creating experiences that foster community and bring people together. Prior to joining Grand Valley, Lindsey worked as a designer and creative manager, gaining experience in brand and identity design, advertising, package design, digital & web design, user-centered research, and experiential design. Lindsey holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design and Visual Experience from Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as a Bachelors in Graphic Design and Photography from Olivet Nazarene University. Lindsey’s research work thus far has focused on empathetic understanding, cognitive influence, and prosocial behavior within the discipline of design.
